DOWNLOAD Music: Pat Uwaje – Thank You Lord

Following the 15th anniversary ofMidnight Crew and the release of“Shout Halleluyah” closely, iconic Gospel minstrel Pat Uwaje-King’s demeanor still expresses gratitude as she releases the single “Thank You Lord”.

Being in a music group for 15 years and recording a good number of notable achievements is not a walk in the park, hence, a reason to be grateful. More importantly, the Gospel music minister is grateful for every hurdle she has surmounted through the grace of God upon her life. She testifies of the redemptive power of God time and time again in the face of some of the most challenging situations she has had to face through the years. Indeed, if you can think deep, you can thank just as deep!

Produced by Olaitan Dada for Natialo Productions, the single is an Afrocentric praise song. The local percussion stirs up the mid-tempo vibe enough to spur a dance in praise of the Most High.

“Thank You Lord” is the first single off Pat Uwaje-King’s forthcoming sophomore album and can be downloaded from her brand new website which is being launched alongside this song.

Bag Of Rice Will Sell For N5, 000, Dollar Will Exchange For N150, Fuel For N30 – Nigerian Prophet Declares

‘Nigeria will soon overcome recession’- Prophet Ade Okeowo

One of the youngest and vibrant seers right now is Prophet Ade Okeowo of Word of Liberty Evangelical Ministry, Ikorodu, Lagos. Most of his prophecies have come to pass.

Recently, he assured Nigerians that the ongoing economic predicament will become history as people will marvel seeing petrol come to as low N25 or N30 per litre. This he held onto and much more revelations of hope when he had a one-on-one interview with ENCOMIUM Weekly a couple of days back at one of his crusades in Lagos.

When and how did the journey into the vineyard of God start?

The journey started in 2000, running the crusade from Nigeria to Togo, Ghana and other West African countries. I have taken my prophetic evangelism across different parts of Nigeria, including the north, south and the east. And God has been identifying with me since I started out.

Are you also into deliverance service or you’re restricted to evangelism mainly?

I am also a deliverance preacher. God is using me to also deliver people from bondage apart from being a prophetic preacher.

What’s the difference between a pastor and a prophet?

A prophet is someone God reveals what will happen, and God speaks to His people through His prophets. And anything prophets have revealed will surely come to pass. Not all are called, but God knows His own among those claiming to be prophets. But no one is appointed a judge over others. A pastor is a shepherd that’s in charge of the church, guiding the adherents by preaching the word of God to them. But we prophets speak directly from God.

If we may say, you’re one of the youngest seers in Nigeria right now. At what age did you start out as a prophet and how many lives have you touched so far?

I started when I was almost 30. And by the special grace of God, I have touched many lives through God that called me.

Starting a ministry at a young age might have attracted some challenges, especially temptations from women. How do you cope?

I experienced challenges especially from women just as you said. Before, women disturbed me by tempting my faith. A lady came to me for counseling, before I knew it, she striped herself before me. It’s God that saved me. I thank God for overcoming the temptation. It’s God that gives man the grace to ignore that kind of sight, not that it’s easy. But I give God the glory.

What are other challenges before coming this far?

There’re lots of other challenges. At times, you can be broke. You might be fasting and nothing to break the fast. You just have to continue. At times you move from place to place with empty stomach. Yu can’t tell anybody, you just have to continue the journey because you’re called. But still, I refused to give up. That’s why I am able to come this far.

Now, let’s talk about the country, the topical issue now is recession. A lot of people believe God knows about it and that the whole thing will become history, while some still hold the belief that President Muhammadu Buhari should be held responsible for the economic woes. As a prophet, what’s your take on this? Who is to blame?

We should not blame anybody. People should not even hold Buhari responsible at all. From what God has revealed to me, He sent Buhari to Nigerians as an angel. And God has also revealed to me that Buhari shouldn’t be worried, that everything will soon be alright. God showed me that Nigeria is like a second hand car (Tokunbo). We all know that if you buy a second hand car, it’s surely not in a perfect state. You will be fixing this today, that tomorrow until it’s fully fit. And it’s not something that will be done overnight. We all need to understand that if we want the country to move forward. Buhari is the one buying all the spare parts to repair the damaged car called Nigeria. By the time he completes the repair, the vehicle will move and everybody will enjoy it. That’s just the parable of Nigeria’s situation now.

In one of your recent interviews, you said prices of commodities will crash and even people will marvel seeing fuel price come to N25 or N30 per litre, how sure are you about this?

Yes, that’s what God has revealed to me. Listen to me attentively; I am not speaking my words but God’s. Now, people buy rice N25,000 per bag but God told me that we’re going to buy a bag of rice as cheap as N5,000. A US dollar will exchange for as low as N150. And fuel will sell for as low as N30 or N40 per litre. That’s what God said will happen in this country.

Will all these come to pass during Buhari’s administration?

God didn’t tell me that one. But He revealed to me all of these and more beautiful things will happen after all the pain. But Buhari’s efforts will lead to that. Nigeria will be forced to a stage of break up but God will intervene.

But Nigerians are panicking here and there, hunger, loss of jobs, insecurity and all that. Do you think there is solution on the way?

Yes, people should stop panicking. God knows about our problem in Nigeria and He’s the only one that can solve it. Everything that is in Nigeria, God knows about them. So, everybody should just be steadfast in prayer and seek His intervention. I strongly believe everything will be alright soon.

Is there any reference in the Holy Bible as regards the situation in Nigeria and God provided succour?

There are lots of references in the Bible that point to the fact that after hardship, there’s relief. For example, in the regime of Joseph, there was hardship, real one. And God used Joseph to prophesy to the land of Egypt that everything will come down. Joseph was a dreamer and God showed him what’s going to happen in Egypt. And during the time, Joseph was locked in the prison. But there was somebody close to the king who told the king that there was a guy in cell that could interpret the dream if he shared it with him, his name was Joseph. The king said he should bring him. He narrated the dream to Joseph and Joseph interpreted it that after the hardship in the land, there was going to be plenty of food. And everything came to pass. The same thing with Moses. God used him as well to communicate to his people that no matter the hardship, there was surely going to be relief. So, no hope is lost at all concerning Nigeria. Everything will soon be alright. There are many Josephs that God is going to use for the upliftment of this country, and Buhari is one of them.

You’re one of the prophets who also predicted that Buhari would win and that things might be rough in the beginning. What are the other prophecies of yours that have also come to pass in recent times?

I predicted the Olympic soccer final. I said Germany would defeat Nigeria, it came to pass. I even said it’s going to be 2-0. I said the gold medal was for Brazil, they all came to pass. I predicted President Jonathan would lose the 2015 presidential election, a lot of people didn’t believe it. Even some prophets almost bet their lives on it that Buhari would lose, but it was revealed to me that Buhari would win and he won. Even, God revealed to me that no matter what other governorship candidates in Oyo do, Abiola Ajimobi will emerge victorious and it came to pass. I still has a message for him.

Any fresh prophecy or prophecies for Nigeria?

My message is that Nigerians should hold on to God and that this recession will be a thing of the past. Nigeria will eventually work again. God told me to warn Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State to beware of the way he chose his commissioners so that they will not destroy his government. Also, Governor Amosun of Ogun State should be careful of some people in the state, because some of them are hell bent in destroying his government as well.

Why are you based in Ikorodu?

I was in Ojota but God asked us to move to Ikorodu. And since then, God has been doing His wonders through me. I give Him the glory.

Tell us about your marital status?

I am happily married with two daughters. Glory be to God.

Seize The Day, Everyday – Joyce Meyer

Have you ever had one of those days when you were busy all day long but when you got to the end of it, you found you hadn't accomplished anything that you wanted or needed to do? It's so frustrating when this happens. And I know what this feels like.

I'm usually a very goal-oriented person and can stay focused on the things I really want to do. But there was a time recently when I found myself struggling to finish things that I started because I was getting distracted by other things that needed to be accomplished as well. So I ended up with a lot of loose ends and felt overwhelmed by everything that needed to be done.

I believe this happens to many people because they are letting their circumstances seize them, allowing the many interruptions that come up take over their day. We need to learn how to live our lives on purpose and invest our time and energy in the plans God is calling us to accomplish.

I believe this happens to many people because they are letting their circumstances seize them, allowing the many interruptions that come up take over their day. We need to learn how to live our lives on purpose and invest our time and energy in the plans God is calling us to accomplish.

It's time for us to take our lives back and stop letting everything around us dictate what we are going to do each day!

In Ephesians 5:14-17, the apostle Paul addresses this issue with born-again believers in the church. He says:

"…Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine (make day dawn) upon you and give you light. Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil. Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is" (AMPC).

Notice that he says "Awake, O sleeper." Sometimes we find ourselves just going through life and we've lost our excitement about God and His purpose for us because we aren't living life on purpose. It's easy to sit around, waiting for something to happen to you, wishing you were happier, more disciplined, in better shape, more successful, and so on. But we don't reach our goals just by wishing they would be fulfilled.

I often say we don't need more "wishbone," we need more backbone!

Be careful and live carefully

The next thing Paul says is "Look carefully then how you walk!" The Greek word for "carefully" here means to walk circumspectly, looking around you all the time as if you were in a very dangerous place. A good word picture for this definition would be a person walking barefoot in a field of thorns. You'd be very careful where you step, constantly watching where you walk.

We need to be aware that we have an enemy who is trying to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). In 1 Peter 5:8 (AMP), the Bible says to "be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour."

Now, the devil can't devour just anyone he wants to. But those who aren't careful about how they live are vulnerable to his attacks. For example, have you been offended recently? If so, that was a thorn. When we encounter thorns, if we are living carefully, we recognize what they are and resist them. So when an offense comes, we immediately decide, "I know what that is," and purposely decide not to step on it. We'll refuse to take offense and instead, forgive.

The truth is the devil is always trying to steal from us, and he'll take our joy, our peace, our time … anything we're willing to give him. That's why 1 Peter 5:9 says to "resist him, be firm in your faith [against his attack — rooted, established, immovable] …" We accomplish this as we "live purposefully … not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), making the very most of the time …" (Ephesians 5:15-16).

Don't waste your life!

I love how this scripture says to live like wise, intelligent people, "not as the unwise and witless" who don't know what they are doing. As we take time to study God's Word and learn what His will is, we can make choices that line up with His plans and purpose for our lives.

Make a determined decision to seize each day of your life, focused on the things God puts in your heart to do. Realize that every day that goes by is one you will never get back. Refuse to waste your time living in anger and unforgiveness or settling for a mediocre existence that lacks zeal for the call of God on your life.

Seek God in prayer and through His Word. If you need help getting started on a new track, living with purpose, pray something like this: "God, help me to do what You tell me to do in Your Word. Help me to stop walking around like a sleepy Christian and to live carefully. I want to invest my time and all of my resources in Your Kingdom. Help me to seize the day and live for You!

Time to change the Economy

Is time like these of economic recession that great entrepreneurs emerge” All I see in Nigeria is people who hav a problem, discuss about the problem but Do nothing about the problem, it’s not that we are not aware but we choose to live the way we see it, reducing ourselves to be nothing… Someone once said “if u chase people to the wall, they turn back and fight back,…But if they push a Nigerian to the wall, he digs a hole on the wall and hides inside the wall” this sums up that in Nigeria “we are Reactive, instead of being Pro-active”

I saw someone mocking d Namibia boy who invented a phone dat doesn’t use airtime Jst bcos d invention is big n enormous. And not convenient like our mobile phones today, and it kills me because who’s mocking him on twitter was a youth like him who probably spends 5years of his life browsing. You see the irony? U’ll see dat dis telecommunications giants will buy dis Namibian boy and hide his invention. Because he’s a threat to business. Just like Nigeria is prominent in great inventions but nobody hears about them after publishing. The likes of the unijos student who discovered a generator that uses urine as fuel. Years back when I was in high school, I was opportuned to visit a facility on a field trip and they showed us an invention that converts feaces in the latrines into cooking gas, safe and pure for domestic use, using water lotus as a catalyst. Ask me if I ever heared of it again? The Government complain about diversifying economy yet don’t support enterprenuers or fund inventions. U want life to change for you while u crossing your legs, my dear life doesn’t work like that. Even scripturally it says “faith without work is death”

My brand purplenaija will one day emerge d biggest media platform to showcase talents of orphans and less privileged in our society. It’s my way of giving back to society. Building a brand is not a sprint race, it’s a marathon. A legacy isn’t built in a day….it takes forever sometimes. But am patient. In the first part of this article i’ve like any other Nigeria complained about our problem, but unlike an average Nigerian, I want to discus possible solutions and a way out, so let’s continue.

Education they say brings reform, re creates, enlightens. But how come the way we Nigerians love school, yet we so backward and narrowly minded like our fellow brothers and sisters in the African community? It’s simple, the thing is, we in tropical countries get wrong concept of education. Just like we do about religion. Nigeria is amongst the most religious countries, yet so much hate, discrimination and unbelief. This is the reasons why our ancient traditional rulers before the missionary white men came, they owned lands and the white men owned the bible. And they ask them to close their eyes to pray. When they opened there eyes the white men had the lands and they had the bible. but that is another article, after this u can read up more of my article here on purplenaija.com every Saturday or watch us live. Back to what we were discussing, Even those who go to school get the wrong inception about school, many Nigerians like to quote how the richest man in the world Bill Gates, and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg dropped out of school, but Never ask the most relevant questions “WHY” why did they have to drop out of school? If education is the key, Yes! Because they found out you go to school and repeat what u’ve learnt, over and over, that is mediocre, that is limiting, we are not all created alike, our power lies in our variety. School is like bringing a cat, a fish and a monkey under one roof and at the end of the term you set an exam for them to climb a tree, yes the monkey will soar high because he was created for that purpose. So you call the cat and fish, useless or dumb, NO! They are not the problem. We go to school and cram pythagoras theorem and pie and areas of a circle or Daltons Atomic theory and u can’t really relate with this terms or numbers you just gotta endure it to pass and get a degree. Bill and Zuckerberg figure out something ain’t right so they broke out, question is what did they figure? This big names dropped outta sch cos they discovered themselves tru other people teachings and cultures, the likes of Einstein ,Socrates, the John Daltons and Charles Darwin , YES! they broke out and made it, because dey DISCOVERED themselves early in school. Thank God for them. They discovered themselves, something we Africans haven’t done since the beginning. Education was supposed to expopse you to diverse cultures and great minds and thinkers. So u can think wide, become limitless thinkers, breach gabs and forge your own part. Invent yourself, become something more than just a number in concensus. Let your life matter, your purpose fufilled, We think cos we studied medicine in sch, we must become doctors, and wen it doesn’t work out, we blame witches and govt policies, Go and read abt dis multimillionaire lifestyle and u’ll discover one thing is synonymous with all of them, They are great Readers. Soon i’ll be wrapping up but let me leave this Quotes like I do when lecturing in IDP camps and to purple family wereva I find one.”Donot let schooling interfere with ur Education” you asking what is purple saying? Read it again let it sink. Schooling ends in the four walls of an institution but education is for life, self education is the key, and I leave you with another of my favorite quotes “Those who will not read have no advantage, over those that cannot read…”. And critics will asl what about All d big looters in government? They Are educated, some Doctors are governors and some Barristers are key members of senate and all, so you re tempted to ask Buh u ask WHY? “Why is their education not reflecting in the way they pilot there affairs? I have another answer for you “the foundation is faulty” even the bible says “if the foundation be destroyed what can the righteous do? I quote a great mind here ” To destroy someone doesn’t mean u kill or afflict him, NO…. is to take away the ability to recreate himself” the colonial masters took away our ability to recreate ourselves….Dats why we will loot ourselves dry go abroad just to show d white man they we have it. Trying to be like the white man, forgeting our true identity and our values. We see a fellow brother and pass him because he’s black. A black cop in the US will arrest and mutilate a fellow black man just for being black. Former minister of petroleum could loot money enough to buy a small country like Madagascar, just because she can loot. Money that can’t be spent in an entire lifetime, someone will loot it, a black man would sell his kidney just to live a life to impress strangers, the list goes on and on, but that’s another article coming up. Before I go I leave you with this last quote ” the world is like this today, not because evil has power, But the Good ones chose to do nothing ” Don’t fold your arms, work hard, study hard, times are changing. U can be more than you are today, be patient too. Get Christ in your life because without God you can do nothing, mind you I didn’t say get church, I was specific “Get Jesus Christ in ur life today” he’s ur hope of glory. This is purple…changing lives tru color. Stay tuned on our channels on bbm, watsapp 08130959797, or email us @ marophilip15@gmail.com or loggin to www.purplenaija.com. #purpleCares

MARVELOUS GOD by Amaechi Odibeli,

"Will a man see God finish?" Yet ye have seen Me finish.

But ye say, wherein have we seen thee finish? In using sweet words to glorify me but not knowing the meaning thereof.
When we call God "Marvelous", "Wonderful" or any of those titles, do we really know the meaning of these terms or we just use them to try and make Him feel good?
To be marvelous means to be full of marvel, always creating new wonders everyday never repeating each. But we act like we know God all too well and there's little He can do to surprise us. That's the 'See-Finish'.

The Psalmist reminisced, "Great is thy faithfulness, morning by morning NEW mercies I see." Please don't insult God by getting used to His style, if you're not surprised His ways, then maybe it's not God.

Enjoy MARVELOUS GOD by Amaechi Odibeli, preacher, composer, choir coordinator.

Weekly Sermon: Rely On God, Not Human Beings, For True Happiness

Who do you turn to, when you are sad and unhappy?

Do you go to your parents, boyfriend, girlfriend, children, friends, pastor, e.t.c?

Do you get the instant, true fix, you yearn for?

The answer is probably no, because all of the above are temporary sources of happiness.

This is seen in Isaiah 2:22, which says, “Don’t put your trust in mere humans. They are as frail as breath…”

This week, we are reminded of the true source of happiness, joy and all good things.

Psalm 4:6-7 says, "Many people say, “Who will show us better times?” Let your face smile on us, LORD. You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine."

We are urged to depend on only God, in our times of need.

Psalm 118:8 adds, “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”

Psalm 144:15 confirms this by saying, "Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord."

Do you have anything to share regardin this post drop ur comment..

Article: What Is The True Value Of Your Friendships?

image
I like people…always have always will. I am fascinated about people and their stories and why they are the way they are. I like to make friends…and if you are like me, making friends isn’t so difficult. There have been a good number of years where my only new year’s resolution was to make at least one friend. I liked the idea of having friends, but like most people, I failed to realize that the quantity was irrelevant if there was lack in the quality…the genuineness of friendship. Lately, I have been having a shift in my thinking…about friendship, what is it anyway? (I’ve been asking myself), and how do you tell your friends actually cares about you…and that they are even worth your time and energy? I guess the saying: time will tell is true. When life throws a ball at you, when trails and difficulty comes…it will definitely tell you, who your true friends are. Sometimes, it is necessary to sit down and take a long inventory through your list of friends and determine for yourself where to generate your loyalty and energy right?…I think it’s necessary.
So I sat down and determined for myself who is a true friend…but first, pause…remember this young people, you can not request for what you are not willing to give yourself (because it just isn’t fair) ….whatever you pour into a friendship is what you will (should) get back. This is why I said…you determine for yourself who is a true friend; considering and having in mind what you have been giving as a true friend yourself. You can’t expect a mango tree to grown papaya…can you?… (now that we are being fair…let’s carry on) 
I decided that a true friend is…loyal; will correct me when I am at fault without putting me down or in disrespect. A true friend genuinely cares about my well being…and doesn’t rejoice over my short comings. A true friend supports and believes in me, and of course inspires and challenges me for the better. A true friend serves me and I serve them. (Yes! A friendship is supposed to serve you; uplift something positive in you).
I encourage you young people,… if the friendship isn’t serving you in the ways you believe are important, the ways that you believe you are serving it…then must it continue?…I would say no… what would you say?
The truth is, we have all gotten into the wrong friendships. I know I have made friends for the wrongest (is that even a word…wrongest?..oh well, now it is…haha) reasons. But is never too late to learn, get out of it, and grow.
So the question still remains, how can you tell you are in a good, healthy friendship?…Who is a good friend?…How can you tell?
Well first things first…
Your values
Do you have the same values as your friends? Having the same values with the people you call friends doesn’t drain you…it actually rejuvenate you because at the end of the day you are sharing ideas and having conversations that will bring you both to your higher selves. Having same values allows respect in the friendship, but more so growth and less time wasting trying to win the other person over. The way you find out if the other person holds the same values as you is by simply asking them questions. Ask people questions when you meet them…who are they?
Do you hold any commonality with this person you call a friend? This is the initial stage to inviting someone into your world as a friend. Don’t force people who are not suppose to be in your life into your life. It is simply a matter of attracting yourself, and others you can be inspired by…if they are not like you (meaning if you don’t share the same values), you will get drained in that friendship…but you decide for yourself if that’s worth it.
Reciprocity
Now this is where all your energy, efforts and resources can get sucked out of you, if you are in the wrong friendship. Are you always the one giving in the friendship? Hmm…I will watch out if I were you. Pay attention here…and you will know people’s intent for wanting to be friends with you. Some friends only come to take and then leave when all is taken. These are the friends who all of a sudden disappear when times are hard, when you are going through life’s challenges, but are always present for the party. I called them vampires….not worth it, get rid of them! fast!. Sometimes these king
of “friends” don’t come in a way of taken and not returning…they can come in the form of demanding, not appreciative, always wanting your time but never given you their time…I know you know these “friends” I am talking about. Please get rid of them to keep your mental sanity…ain’t nobody got time for that! Remember that great friendships are always reciprocal…it should flow like a stream of water. Is all about the law of exchange…if it ain’t that…take another route.
Effort
Yes yes yes….we are in 2016; we are all SUPER busy ain’t we? But don’t get fooled young people…yes we are busy but there is ALWAYS time for what and whom one consider a priority. Man! I have been so guilty of this…always making excuses for people; that they are busy, I know they will check on me when they are free….and I’m still waiting for them to check up on me as I write this. Not worth it! Get rid of them!…do it now!. Anyone will make an effort for someone who they feel is deserving of their time…don’t get it complicated, its as easy as that. If you are in the business of not wasting time and energy…rid yourself of these kinds of friendships that don’t serve you. Unfortunately, some people will only recognize your value after you have removed yourself from them. Don’t waste your resources where it is not appreciated…especially if you are in the business of becoming your highest self.
Comfort Level
You gotta pay attention to how you feel when you are with certain people…feel the vibe, feel the energy. This will tell you if you should be friends or not. Do you always feel the need to be something you are not…do you feel respected, do you feel belittled…whatever the case, pay attention to your feelings when among the people you call friends and advice yourself moving forward. Is the friendship in favor of what you believe in….what do I mean here?…if you really hate to gossip, talk about certain things that doesn’t serve what you believe in, but this friendship always opens the platform for this kind of things…then you need to get out of it if it makes you uncomfortable. Do you feel like yourself when you hang with the people you call friends, or are you always justifying who you are?. Listen to your intuition…that small voice that tells you this isn’t it…please listen to it if you are in the business of becoming your highest self.
So there you have it young people. I know you are intelligent to know what’s good for you and you love yourself enough to let go of what isn’t serving you or better yet…what isn’t helping you to become
your highest, authentic self. You know what they say…show me your friend(s) and I will show you your character. This makes us accountable and responsible to ensure that we are in friendships that are reflective of whom we are, what we believe in, and of course…friendships that elevate us. Your friends should be and is a reflection of yourself… (think of it this way).
When a stranger pulls all your friend(s) aside without you there, that stranger has just made a pretty good judgment without prejudice of who you are…think about that for a moment and ask yourself, if that will assume anything untrue about your character.
Dear young people, love and respect yourself enough to let go of friendships that doesn’t serve you. And I want you to do this with no hard feelings…it doesn’t mean those people are terrible, it just means you are in the business of elevating yourself…becoming your highest self.
Being true to yourself comes with letting go and letting in…don’t hold on to the quantity…you will attract the right people in your life when you let go of the people who are not serving you. Remember this…the right friends, even if just one will help you elevate to the level where even 10 friends can’t. But above all…enjoy your true friendships, appreciate them…have fun!…on the journey of becoming your highest self.

Billy Graham: Satan Is The Author Of Evil, Not God

While God is all-powerful, it is Satan who is the
author of evil, declared famed evangelist the Rev.
Billy Graham in a recent advice column.

Graham was asked in a Q&A column published in The Kansas City Star about the originator of evil and how an all-powerful God was not responsible for
evil.

"Who is to blame for all the evil in the world, God or
the devil? I'd like to think it's the devil, but if God is
all-powerful, doesn't that make Him responsible for
everything that happens, even evil?" asked the
person.

Graham responded, explaining that "God is not
responsible for the evil in the world, nor will He
ever do anything evil or wrong."

"Nor does God ever tempt us to do evil or make us
do anything wrong. Not only would that be against
His perfect nature, but it also would defeat His plans
for us, plans for good and not evil," wrote Graham.

"Admittedly, God hasn't told us everything we'd
like to know about evil and why it exists, but one
thing is clear: God is not the author of evil, nor does
He give in to its allure."

Graham added that while the devil is the originator
of evil, "evil also comes from within us, within our
own hearts and minds."

"When we do wrong, we can't blame anyone but
ourselves, for we have chosen to turn our backs on
God and go our own way," continued Graham.

"This is why we need Christ, for only He can forgive
our sins and give us the strength to do what is
right. Have you committed your life to Him?"

Graham's comments on the origin of evil come
weeks after the release of a Gallup poll that found
less than two-thirds of Americans believe in the
devil.

In a survey conducted in May, Gallup noted in June
that while nearly 90 percent of Americans believe in
God, only 61 percent believe in Satan.

"Gallup asked the question that includes the 'not
sure about' option in random rotation with
questions about belief in four other religious
concepts: angels, Heaven, Hell and the devil," reported Gallup.

"Americans' belief in all of these is lower than their
belief in God, ranging from 72 percent who say
they believe in angels to 61 percent who say they
believe in the devil, with 12 percent unsure on
both. Belief in these four concepts is down at least
marginally from when last measured in 2007, following the same pattern as the trend in belief in
God using this question format."

The litmus test for salvation remains the FRUIT.by Jobi Kings #RhemaSound

Don't let them fool you by saying, it doesn't matter how you live once you've given your life to Christ, and are saved.

It never mattered more how you live  your life than when you're saved.

If we claim to be saved, yet cannot work in righteousness, that's a proof that our claim is false.

No, we are not sinners because we sin;
we sin because we are sinners.
And yes, that status has changed once we are in Christ.
But that's not the end of the story...

The nature of sin is destroyed by Christ, Halleluyah!!!
Yet it's our job to work out our Salvation, bringing spiritual facts to physical reality.
" But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway."- 1 Corinthians 9:27.

We are not saved because we work in righteousness.
We work in righteousness because we are saved.
Righteousness is an outgrowth of Salvation in us, and if it is not there, it just isn't there.
By their fruit you shall know them.

Christianity is a call to participation with GOD.
"For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;
and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;
and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.
For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ."- 2 Peter 1:5-8.

Most Christians are unproductive in Christ, bearing fruits no different from worldly and even satanic people because they're refusing to take responsibility for their faith, and partner with GOD.
NO, they want to use only their mouth in claiming blessings, while the rest of them remain idle to obedience concerning the things of GOD.

Sin remains the only problem between GOD and man.
Sin is more of a problem, than even Satan is.
If Satan could not lure Christians to rebel against GOD, and live in disobedience to the ordinances of Christ even after being born again, then Christian influence would be more effective in our society, and that would be a good thing.
Look around you though, alas...

LOOK AT THE FRUIT, NOT THE MONEY.

I Promise You Better Days Ahead, Even As We Remain Grateful, Buhari Tells Nigerians

ABUJA—President Mohammadu has, again, appealed to Nigerians to be patient with his
government in the face of the harsh economic
realities of the present time, assuring that there
were better days ahead

He also condemned the suicide bombing that
occurred on Monday in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

The President said he was not oblivious of the
hardship and hunger in the land and that Nigerians
were having a tough period.

Making the observations in a congratulatory
message to all Muslims faithful in Nigeria on the
celebration of Eid El Fitr to mark the end of fast, Buhari, however, appealed to the
rich to show some kind and philanthropic gestures
to the poor, especially to the victims of terrorism in the society.

The President in the message he personally signed,
urged the people to show love and understanding
to one another, irrespective of tribe, religion and
political leanings.

He said:

“I congratulate Muslims in Nigeria and
around the world on the successful completion of
this month-long spiritual journey of fasting, prayer
and almsgiving in obedience to the Divine
Command.

“I sincerely pray that the Almighty Allah will reward
our sacrifices with increased blessing and a more
prosperous future.

“On this happy occasion, it is my strong belief that
all true followers of Islam have been rejuvenated
on the true meaning and essence of life and
through the teachings of Prophet Muhammad
(SAW), we have learnt to imbibe the virtues of piety,
sacrifice, love, self-denial and good conduct in our daily relationship with one another.

“I am not unaware of what Nigerians are going
through and I want to use this medium to
commend the amazing sacrifices of Nigerians in the
face of the temporary economic and social
challenges and also reassure Nigerians that my
administration is working assiduously towards providing basic needs and other amenities.

“On Monday this week, the Vice President, the
Speaker of the House of Representatives and other
government officials joined me to host Iftar
reception at the State House with Nigerians of
different backgrounds including Internally
Displaced Persons, IDPs, artisans and Physically- challenged persons.

“Like I said during the reception, I want to once
again appeal to those of us who have the means, to
remember the millions of Nigerians who are
suffering deprivation because of violence
perpetrated by terrorists.

“I promise you all better days ahead even as we
remain grateful for your unflinching support to our
administration.”

President Buhari also said that he remained
committed to the fight against corruption in Nigeria,
emphasizing that every legal option would be
employed to conquer the social vice.

He also commended the armed forces for their
gallantry in the North East, even as he assured the
world that steps were being taken to resolve the
crisis in the Niger Delta.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has
condemned the suicide bombing that occurred on
Monday in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

Condoling with Saudi authorities over the attack,
President Buhari said the development was a
desecration of all that was sacred and holy, as it
took place near the Prophet Muhammad’s Mosque,
and on one of the holy days of Ramadan.

“I commend the Armed Forces and security
agencies for the gains recorded in the fight against
terrorists and the rescue of hostages in the North
East part of the country.

“I also appeal for the support, understanding and
patience of all Nigerians and our international
partners as we explore the fastest means to end
the economic sabotage in the Niger Delta and
amicably resolve the conflicts within the region,” he
said.

“The Key, The Secret, The Magic Is To Surrender To God’s Dream For You” Oprah Winfrey Delivers Empower Speech At The Essence Festival 2016

NEW ORLEANS, LA – JULY 02: Oprah Winfrey speaks onstage during the 2016 ESSENCE Festival presented By Coca-Cola at Ernest N. Morial Convention Center on July 2, 2016 in New
Orleans, Louisiana. (Photo by Paras Griffin/Getty Images for 2016 Essence Festival)

We were super inspired by Oprah Winfrey ‘s speech at the Essence Festival in New Orleans on Saturday!

Watch this video clip from her speech where she
shares the story of the six trees…

• “I used to dream the dream driving through the white peoples’ neighborhoods. You’d see their fancy houses. Sometimes they had gates, but all of them had trees. .I thought, ‘Oh, rich people have trees. Some people want pocketbooks and cars, but I want me some trees. … About three years ago, I was sitting in my kitchen window, making coffee in the morning and I saw the six trees. I was making the coffee. I saw the six trees. I went out on the porch to actually count the six trees, and this
is what i noticed: That I could dream the six, but beyond the six trees in my kitchen window are 3,687 trees. How do I know? Because I had them counted. I dreamed the six. That was as much as my small mind and my imagination can see. I dreamed the six, but God can see beyond the six.”

Very captivating!

This was Oprah’s first-ever speech at the Essence Festival and she looked amazing in her red dress.
She started up by saying – “This is my first time here. What took me so long? What took me so long?…All I got to say is it’s beyond happiness to be
here.“

Oprah is one of the richest women in the world and she’s at the helm of a successful media empire. Poverty, teen pregnancy, failure are just some of the obstacles she has overcome.

Here are 5 insightful quotes and lessons from Oprah’s speech curated by Nola.com

• “I am living the dream. And I want you to live the dream because I’m not living the dream because I’m special. I’m living the dream because I was obedient to the call of the dream. I want you to leave here today thinking about what is the dream for you? What is God’s dream for you? What does the creator’s dream hold for you? So often we spend our lives hoping and wishing and hoping and wishing and desiring things. This is what I know for sure: You don’t get what you hope for. You don’t get get what you wish for. You get what you believe.”

• “For everything there is an equal and opposite reaction. … It means no matter what you do, what you say, the energy of who you are is going out into the world, into your home, into your relationships and that energy is always coming back to you. You are responsible for the energy that you are putting out into the world because that
very energy — bam! —is coming right back to you every single time, whether you believe it or not, because it is law. It is law.”

• “When you’ve done everything you can do, you don’t just have to stand. When you’ve prayed and … wanted and dreamed and held on and believed and got turned down and turned back and turned around, it taught me when you’ve done everything you can do, Surrender all. Surrender all.”

• “You have no power over any territory other than
your own, but you are the master of that. You get to
be the captain of your own soul and if you just manage that, if you just took care of your territory, all the glorious, glorious, glorious wondrous opportunities and possibilities are waiting for you. The question is, what are you resisting?”

• “Your life is big. Your life is huge, and we spend so much time wanting to be in somebody else’s life, and you don’t get honored, you don’t get revered, you don’t get celebrated wanting what somebody else has.”
